Social Programme

To complement the conference and exhibition, EAGE will organize a social programme that showcases the rich culture, hospitality, and gastronomy of Aberdeen. With so much to discover in this beautiful city, we are confident you won’t regret joining us.

We also invite family members of our delegates to take part in the experience. All registered accompanying persons will have access to the social programme, including the Icebreaker Reception and the Conference Evening. Additionally, they are welcome to explore the exhibition and participate in the accompanying persons’ tour.

The social programme will provide entertainment and valuable networking opportunities for both delegates and accompanying persons. More details can be found below.

Following the Opening Ceremony, the Icebreaker Reception offers the perfect opportunity to kick off the week. Taking place in the exhibition area, attendees can enjoy a selection of drinks and a specially curated menu featuring Scottish delicacies, including haggis, neeps and tatties.

Crathes Castle is one of Scotland’s finest castles, known for its pink exterior, fairy-tale design and beautifully preserved interiors. The estate also features woodland, ponds and streams, while its famous 3.75-acre walled gardens are loved for their colourful planting and stunning castle views.

Enjoy a scenic day trip through Royal Deeside, travelling along the Dee Valley to Ballater, where there will be time for a stroll or coffee before visiting Balmoral Castle & Estate. The tour continues into the Cairngorms National Park to Braemar, a village rich in Highland history, before returning to Aberdeen.
